Ideal for those travelers who visit the capital of Portugal for the first time

GoldPrestige invites you to plunge into the history of Lisbon together with a professional guide who will show you the most interesting districts and sights of the city. We will take care of your comfort from the very beginning of the tour, taking you from your hotel or apartment on a Mercedes-Benz car with air conditioning.

The first opportunity to take great photos awaits you at the viewing point of Eduardo VII Park, from where you can enjoy unforgettable views of the Tagus River and the seven hills on which Lisbon is situated. We will drive along Liberty Avenue (Avenida de Liberdade), which was once fenced with walls and intended for walks of the Portuguese nobility, but now the world famous brands attract customers with their showcases.

Having arrived in the Belem district, you can learn more about the Era of the Great Geographical Discoveries: there is Monument of the Discoveries (Padrão dos Descobrimentos) and the Jeronimos Monastery, where Vasco da Gama prayed before embarking on the expedition and opening the sea route to India. We also stop at the Belem Tower, the construction of which allowed expanding the boundaries of the city beyond the castle of St. George. Those who wish can taste “pasteis” pastries, that became a symbol of Lisbon, and a first factory for their production still exists in Belem and keeps the secret recipe of this dessert for more than 170 years.

Along the picturesque bank of the Tagus river, we will return to the center of Lisbon, to Alfama where the national romance fado was born. On the viewing points of Portas do Sol and Santa Luzia we will admire the winding streets with original houses, decorated with Portuguese tiles azulejo. We will go to the Cathedral Sé, the first Catholic center of Portugal, where the Portuguese still attend Sunday service.

We will go down to the Baixa area, built after the devastating earthquake in the 18th century, cross the Commerce Square where the penultimate Portuguese king was killed, we will admire the 25 April bridge that connects Lisbon to the south bank of the Tagus River and the statue of Jesus Christ. We will pass along the pedestrian street Rua Agusta and admire the French fountains on Rossio Square.
